Pushing eyelids shut
She runs her fingers over lips:

"I could kiss you,
Why are you so far away?
Now you're all grown up,
Silent, composed,
Like the men I used to run after
Instead of seeing you.
Yes, now it's your perfect self-discipline
That drives me wild,
Your untold years, your mysteries
Which call to me.
The girl in me wants to run after you,
But how can I?

I'm a woman now.

I wish I'd kissed you when I had the chance."

This really feels bittersweet but in a strange way.  I'm kind of wondering what the man thinks about the situation.  I suppose he was interested in her at one point, but maybe not.
