Literature Text
You, if I may so dare to address
You, as it is said, have no favorites.
You are the great outpouring love for all,
Indiscriminately doling out joy and suffering,
Life and its destruction to Sun, virus, flower and Son.
So pardon a weary daughter for this abrasion,
And allow me this worthless abstraction:
If You truly have no favorites,
What cleft divides Love from indifference?
You, as it is said, have no favorites.
You are the great outpouring love for all,
Indiscriminately doling out joy and suffering,
Life and its destruction to Sun, virus, flower and Son.
So pardon a weary daughter for this abrasion,
And allow me this worthless abstraction:
If You truly have no favorites,
What cleft divides Love from indifference?
"God does not have favorites." (Romans 2:11)
